Fun in Sunny Paso Robles

You gotta have a little fun on the job right? Amber and I had plenty on my most recent Ad shoot for Seguin Moreau.. we actually started referring to the job as a photo shoot vacation. In part cause the freaking weather was amazing and the other reason.. the job was just FUN! More behind the scenes pics coming soon.

Cattle Rancher

A new favorite portrait of mine.. that is going straight in my portfolio and directly featured promo mailer. I just love it. That dog was a work horse and slept on the quad all bundled into a ball on the back after hours of herding. What brilliant instinct animals have.

Seguin Moreau Ad Shoot.. ready set.. YUM

Getting set for my shoot in Paso Robles for Seguin Moreau, producers of high end 100% French Haute Futaie Oak barrels. I will be photographing portraits of two prestigious wine makers that use these specialty barrels.. and hoping to get a taste of their wines while I am at it! Although i am no wine snob and I don't claim to be any kind of expert, I REALLY LOVE wine. A couple years ago I make my own, starting with picking the grapes, to sorting, crushing and pressing.. and now waiting and waiting while it ages. The hardest part is the wait!

Pics from my shoot coming up soon... Sunday I scout/wine taste and Monday is the shoot. 7am call time. Yay for the time change! I get to sleep in an hour more and still get the sunrise!

Rubio's Fresh Mex TV Spot

When I got a call from my friends over at Engine Company 1 about shooting some clips for a Rubio's TV ad, I was stoked! We spent all day at the beach shooting, despite the rain.. and ended up with some really fun additions to the collection of existing still imagry. I shot all of the live action shots in the spot, which is basically include the intro and the last few clips at the end. Check it!

Cleaning House

So, with 2010 right around the corner, and with lots of new shoots coming up, big travel plans, and hopefully a busy new year, I thought I'd clear out all my back logged blog posts.. get em' done and start fresh. The idea is that once I catch up, it will be a lot easier to keep up. Here it is.. the last four months of 2009. New years resolution to update my blog and get current, CHECK!

Something Sporty

Here is some of my latest work. I just finished retouching these a couple weeks ago, I am really exited to get them in the portfolio. I think they are going to be a great addition.

Third Eye Blind Album Shoot: Ursa Major

Here is the final piece! Third eye blinds more recently released album featuring over a dozen images I shot with them back in the fall. With Mary Scott as the designer, Claire Mack styling the band, and not to mention the ridiculous locations, it really turned out to be a stellar project.

Self Assignment II

Shot this series in Marin, with Jasmine Hamed styling and Renee Rael on Hair and Make-up. It was a full full day.. I think we ended up going for 10 hours or so, right up till sundown, so thanks to everyone for all the hard work and for sticking it out! Models Nekole Kemelle and Nicole Grinsell were killer to work with, and my buddy Guru was a blessing to have helping out. THANKS!!

Self Assigment

Shot these in the fall, up in Napa with Peggi-Jane Jeung styling and Sherrie Long on hair and make-up.

Editorial III

Remember those shots I took on a backpacking trip in Yosemite? Well, one came in particularly handy when I got an assignment from Fast Company magazine, and I got to use it as the background image in my photo illustration.
